She doesn’t know exactly how she did it, but here it is. Impostora bursts onto the music scene with Nada Que Hacer, a song that refuses to be boxed in—an anthem to well-directed chaos. A fusion of synth-pop, funk, and dream-pop that follows no rules yet somehow makes perfect sense.
The story behind Impostora is one of someone who always heard music in her head but never felt capable of making it. Singing in public seemed unthinkable, sharing her voice even more so. The impostor syndrome became a constant companion, whispering, “Who do you think you are to do this?” But instead of letting it stop her, she chose to ignore it. With no formal musical training and only a phone and an online program, she started recording, playing with samples, and turning fear into momentum. And so, Nada Que Hacer was born—through improvisation, homemade demos, and the kind of freedom that only comes when you stop worrying about doing things "right."
The song is an emotional journey of contrasts: chill moments that wrap around you and bursts of energy that shake you. It speaks of the anxiety of existence, of self-acceptance, and the realization that sometimes the best thing you can do is… nothing. Stop forcing, stop resisting, and just be.
Produced by Pipe Aburto of Malo Records, Nada Que Hacer feels like throwing all of Impostora's influences into a blender and seeing what happens. The result is a track with a dynamic structure, unafraid of changing shape, rhythm, and intention. Ethereal, yet grounded. Dreamy, yet pulsing with life.
If you enjoy songs that evolve with every listen, that don’t take you down predictable paths, and that reminds you that music is still a playground for exploration and surprise, Nada Que Hacer is for you.
